Our research is generally concerned with understanding the cognitive and motivationall processes underlying attitudes and attitude change. We typically take a detailed, analytic approach to studying the mechanisms that explain people¡¯s inferences and attitudes, as well as the change and maintenance of these inferences and attitudes. We believe in taking a fresh eclectic perspective to understand a number of attitudes, including responses to persuasive communications, judgments about the self and others, and health-related cognitions.
