The Psycholinguistics training program benefits from the large Linguistics Department at the University of Illinois, which covers most areas of applied and theoretical linguistics.  Among the linguistics faculty who are most relevant to psycholinguistics are:

Jennifer Cole, Assistant Professor of Linguistics and Beckman Institute. (phonology and computational linguistics, including phonology and speech processing, cognitive science, and mathematical linguistics).

Adele Goldberg, Associate Professor of Linguistics and Beckman Institute. (syntax/semantics interface, lexical semantics, language acquisition, natural language processing).

Peter Lasersohn, Assistant Professor of Linguistics. (semantics, pragmatics, mathematical linguistics).

Jerry Morgan, Head, Department of Linguistics. Professor of Linguistics and Beckman Institute (syntax, pragmatics, morphology, computational linguistics, natural language processing, Albanian, Korean).

James Yoon, Associate Professor of Linguistics and Korean (syntax, morphology, morphosyntactic interaction, Korean, Japanese and Chinese linguistics).
