Current research includes a qualitative study of adults who spent at least one year in foster care as children and their perspectives on their experiences as foster children, their experiences with the legal system, and their current perspectives on parenting. A second strand of research focuses on practices in juvenile justice including evaluation of practice changes in a detention center, outreach services, and screening youth for mental health needs.
